Blogging ladies & other things

So over the month of Dec I started in get into blogging again and found some amazing people and just had to read their blogs from start to finish - yes thats right Jess , Ali , Ash , Roni , Kate , Susan . Yes I read other blogs, I actually follow 45 blogs on bloglovin.

All (45+) have been inspirational, some have lost weight & kept if off, others have a hard time getting rid of it but they don't give up, some are runners who have made me want to get into running too and some have made complete life changes. All of them have something to offer.

I have a long way to get to their level of fitness/health/blogging. I'm not sure I'll ever be able to blog everyday or get up at 5am every morning to go running (this I'm looking to change). I need to add more content, a better layout, I need to get an audience.

I think I will do some link ups but I have no clue how they work.

I'm not sure how this blog with go, I hope it will grow & grow.

Anyways in fitness news, I decided to go for a 3mile walk yesterday morning even though it was wet and raining slightly. I decided to check out the walk to my new job and from there walk through the park, then get the bus home. Well I don't think I picked the best day for it lol

I did attempt to run once in the park but it just wasn't the right conditions to do so.

EDIT: I just bought a domain - meandfitness.com ! I already have a web host ( I used to make/run fan site for a few people but stopped that and haven't used it for ages) so will be transfering my blog over there real soon

Layout

I'm not really feeling this layout, I'm not sure what I want really. Some of the layouts I like have an ad at the top of the sidebar, I need to sort out this header thing too.
I don't like that you can't select the size of text when writing a post (blog.com says you can) and to edit css you need to pay.

Sept-Oct
Me and Keith had the best holiday ever! We went back to NYC (my 8th time, his 3rd), to Dover for NASCAR and to Washington DC. We witnessed the UN week in NYC and the government shut down in Washington DC. Photos below will link to facebook albums.

I went to Keith's brother in laws funeral. I finally met all 9 of the Schooling kids. I moved away from LJ and moved to blog.com. I posted more too.

What is with the weather?!

So by the time Keith went to work this morning it was pouring it down and the wind had really picked up. By 8am it had calmed down but I'd already decided not to go to the gym & do my exercises at home instead.

I ending up doing strength training and 10km on the bike in 18.17 min.

So far my eating today has been what I'd call healthy - salad with chicken. Not sure what I'm having for dinner though.

My weight is currently 86.6kg / 190.9lb. Some of the increase is bloating, & water. I'd love to get down to 80kg by the end of Jan.

A new start

Well not really, I'm just carrying on with what I started in 2013 but wasn't successful with, the weight lose & fitness thing. I am thinking of going for early morning weekend runs and the rest of the week working out in the gym (when I'm not working that is).

Goals for 2014:

Weight = get to 138lbs / 62kgs
Running = be able to run 10k without stopping
Uni = finish my current module & start a new one
Life = move to Worthing, get a pug or two, get a new job

Went to the gym this morning, did 3k on the cross trainer then walked 2k on the treadmill

New Year Eve

So new years eve went off with a bang!

We went to our local pub for festvities - cider & people watching :) In total we had 5 pints each, we took undrunk photos at the start then we went to visit the giant Christmas tree outside our building after midnight in the rain and had a laugh.

I took photos but the internet isn't being nice to me at the moment so I will upload later.

Oh yeah there was obviously drugs being taken in the pub. One guy turned up on his own and a little while later 3 others turned up and he joined them, they ordered 4 pints. Tall heavy footed guy went to the toilet for a while then he came back and original guy went. When he came back he handed the tall guy back an oyster card holder 'secretly' the guy then looked inside. One guy as soon as he walked in looked totally stoned or going through withdrawals. Tall guy got on the phone and was overheard saying 'meet me here' after the lads had clearly been discussing buying. Later a car pulled up outside (we were at the window) and I didn't think anything of it other than 'oh there's a deal going down'. Then tall guy walks in and I clock on! They soon drink up and leave to go to the local really bad club to sell.

I bought some Brooks Adrenaline GTS 11 trainers just now, they were in the sale for a saving of £70 so I just couldn't say no really.

I hate bank holidays, you know when money leaves your account but money doesn't go in! Today I am -£217 as I scheduled a transfer for £350 to my bills account and Keith's £350 to me hasn't gone into my account. When it does I'll have £131 to last me the whole of January, I actually have no clue when payday is for this new job, I suppose I'll find out on Monday. I should be ok as I have no bills to pay out of it. I would be even better if I was actually doing agency work instead of just cancelling every shift! I could have earned over £1k in December!
